Mrs. Bishop’s 4th graders attended “Health Rocks”, a health and safety program for all fourth graders in the district.
Students learned about water and fire safety, the dangers of smoking and vaping, farm safety, internet safety, healthy food and portion control, and stress management.

Dear Legrande School Parents,
We are excited to announce an upcoming opportunity to enhance diversity within our site-based decision making council. Legrande School is initiating a call for nominations specifically aimed at electing a minority member to join the council. This opportunity is pursuant to state law regarding schools having eight percent (8%) or greater minority membership in their student population based on the Superintendent's Annual Attendance Report (SAAR).
Diversity brings a wealth of perspectives and experiences that enrich our decision-making processes and lead to more comprehensive solutions. By including voices from various backgrounds, we strengthen our community and ensure that all members' interests are represented.
We encourage all interested members to nominate individuals who they believe would make valuable contributions to our site-based council. Nominees should belong to a minority group and possess a deep passion for our community's growth and betterment. By definition a parent is a parent/guardian, stepparent, or foster parent of a student or a person who has legal custody of a student pursuant to a court order and with whom the student resides. By definition, a minority is an American Indian, Alaska native, African-American, Hispanic (including persons of Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Central or South American origin), Pacific Islander, or other ethnic group underrepresented in the school.
To submit a nomination, please complete the attached Google Form and submit by Friday, November 21st. Thank you for your ongoing dedication and commitment to Legrande School.
For any questions or clarifications, please reach out to Rachael Hensley, Principal of Legrande School.

❄️ WBKO Chief Meteorologist David Wolter spoke to students in grades K-2 this morning about the types of weather patterns, forecasting the weather, and weather safety. ☀️
❄️ When Wolter first began, snow was blowing outside the cafeteria windows. By the time he finished, the sun was shining brightly! ☀️
☀️ Welcome to southcentral Kentucky weather! ❄️
☀️ Thanks Mr. Wolter for taking time out of your busy day to teach our students about the weather! 🩵

🎪 We brought the festivities indoors due to rain, but it didn’t stop us from having a blast at Fall Festival on Friday! 🎉
🖤❤️ Everything was a HUGE success thanks to all our families, friends and community partners who came out to support us! ❤️🖤
🫕We enjoyed a meal of chili, tenderloin sandwiches, hot dogs, chips and homemade desserts, and students enjoyed the fun and games in the hallways and gym. 🎳 Face painting, karaoke and laser tag were also a hit in the classrooms! 🎤🎨
The highlight of the night was our auction of class items, class baskets and other items donated by the community. 🧺
All of the money raised goes directly back into activities for our STUDENTS! 👫🏻🛝✏️📚 Thanks again for supporting LeGrande PTA!! ❤️🖤

Don't forget we will have our Fall Festival tonight! Not only are we offering fun games, food and a live auction, but we also have an online auction! Use the link below to make your bids now!
